The League HQ ESPN Connector lets a fantasy-league commissioner connect their ESPN league to their League HQ site with one click, instead of manually copying browser cookies. It has a single purpose and no other features.
SWID and espn_s2, from espn.com. These identify your ESPN session and are what ESPN's own site uses to show you your league. They are read only when you open the extension popup.https://yourleague.theleague-hq.com), which you type in. This is saved locally in the extension so you do not have to retype it. It is not a secret and is not sent anywhere except used as the destination for the request below. When you click Send to League HQ, the two cookies (and the optional league ID) are sent over HTTPS directly and only to the League HQ site you entered, to its existing credential endpoint. On arrival they are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) and stored by that site so it can sync your league. The extension does not send data to any other server.
espn.com, network access limited to League HQ sites, local storage for the site URL, and activeTab, which lets it read the web address of the tab you are on, only at the moment you click its icon, so it can fill in your League HQ site and your ESPN league ID for you. It never reads the contents of any page. You can remove the extension at any time, which deletes the saved site URL. Your ESPN cookies are yours; sign out of ESPN to invalidate them. To revoke League HQ's access to your ESPN league, clear the credentials in your League HQ admin settings.
